So here it is, over six months later and I've finally decided to throw an entry on here. Well, a lots changed since way back then with Lunar Works but a lot has stayed relatively the same. We're pretty close to launching Chris' Wulvern Comic even narrowing it down to an actual date of July 11, his birthday. We're a few word bubbles and a sweet cover away from having the preview in our hands. I'm pretty pumped about that. My book, The Last Knights, is in one of the final editing stages. It should be ready soon after his.
So for the time being, other than planning out Last Knights 2 and drawing more of the Wulvern series I thought it would be cool to start a webcomic. We just bought the Wacom Intuous 4 to help with the workload and I thought it would be cool to use it to draw some new stuff. Well I needed a story and I didn't want to use any of my other projects as a webcomic so I dug deep and and back..into time. A long time ago I read erik Larson's Savage Dragon Collected addition where he explains that the Dragon character was one he created when he was a kid. I have a few characters of my own that I really liked and I've decided to put them into a webcomic.
But How? I dug through old boxes and found C-7. A comic book I made when I was like 12. At first I thought I would just scan the originals, doctor them up, and throw them on a web page and call it a day. Unfortunately for my 12 year nostalgic entity, that's not going to happen. They have their moments but I just can't let them represent my current work. Maybe one day for a laugh but for now, I've decided to remake it with a story based on the originals. Same characters same idea and basic story just brought up to speed. We'll see what happens.
So look for C-7 coming soon to a computer screen near you. Hopefully I'll updated it a little better than I do this.

My name is K.J. Eldridge. I may be the greatest writer of all time... but probably not.
Let's get a few things out in the open first. I'm a diehard New York Giants fan. Somehow my Uncle in Florida brainwashed me into being a FSU fan when I was little too. I'm pretty happy about that. My other sports teams are the New York Knicks, the Chicago White Sox and I have special place in my heart for all things Syracuse University. What does all that have to do with anything? Well it's a blog and from the handful of other peoples' blogs I've looked at, personal likes and dislikes are a pretty prevalent topic. I love sports and will passionately debate with pretty much anyone else who wants to throw down. ESPN.com and other team specific sites are usually the first things I check out when I hit the web. Once the important stuff is out of the way I check everything else.
Hmmm, what else do I want to unleash upon the world wide web at large... Well I am an aspiring writer as these mesmerizing words can attest to. I'm also trying my hand in the comic biz. Since the big wigs at all the major publishing companies can't recognize talent when it sends them a badly worded unsolicited manuscript randomly in the middle of the night, I decided to invent my own publishing company to join in the fun. I mean, my mom says I've got skills so I might as well put them to use. I'm not actually as bitter as I sound. Truthfully, I didn't send out too many manuscripts. There were a few companies I thought it would be cool to work for but I didn't really want to go through the hassle and the long waiting periods. So I sent one out. They saved me the trouble and got back to me with rejection form letter pretty quickly so it was all good. With that grueling process behind me, enter Lunar Works Productions!
Now I'm the guy who has to take the massive financial risk on a new author and unproven comic book creative team! Sweet! My group is in charge of the editing, packaging, and marketing of these masterpieces of epic proportions. That means when you read one of my stories and you find mistakes and things that make absolutely no sense, you can yell directly at me. I'm cool with that. If you have any questions about our work here at the Lunarverse, feel free to ask. As of now, no one knows who we are. So it should be quiet on that front. If you are reading this right now you're probably a friend or relative and I truly appreciate the support you've given me over the years. I can't do this without you guys.
In reality, Lunar Works is a dream come true for me. It's something I have always wanted to do even when I was a little kid. It's what any aspiring storyteller wants. Complete and total creative freedom to tell the kinds of stories they want to tell. It's an exciting time for me and the rest of the cats at Lunar Works. This is where it begins, We want our name to be synonymous with high quality, crazy stuff. When that LW is stamped on a book or a comic or a music album, we want the person looking at it to know they are getting something that takes them to another level. With that said, welcome to the ground floor of our universe. There will be bumps in the road, but that rocky path will lead somewhere, I promise. Besides, the scenery will be awesome.
